Clarity Matters Most

If you need a prostate biopsy, selecting the right imaging is important when it comes to helping doctors accurately find and target suspicious areas. ExactVu™ Micro-Ultrasound is an advanced imaging technology that provides 300% higher resolution than conventional ultrasound, which makes a big difference for urologists during a biopsy procedure.  This clearer view can help your doctor identify areas that may need closer examination and guide the biopsy more precisely.

What is Micro-Ultrasound

Micro-ultrasound is designed specifically for high-resolution prostate imaging allowing your doctor to see the prostate with near-microscopic detail.

This improved visibility helps your urologist:

•    See prostate tissue more clearly

•    Accurately identify areas that appear suspicious

•    Guide biopsy needles with greater precision

•    Make decisions in real time during the procedure

This means more targeted biopsies and greater confidence in the results.

Why Imaging Matters for Biopsy

ExactVu Micro-Ultrasound helps your doctor better identify and precisely target areas that may contain cancer during the biopsy to improve diagnosis and reduce unnecessary procedures.   Through better visualization, ExactVu allows your urologist to see more, target better and improve treatment planning.

MRI & ExactVu Micro-Ultrasound
MRI can help identify areas of concern in the prostate before a biopsy. During the biopsy, those MRI images must be aligned with conventional ultrasound images to guide the doctor. As conventional ultrasound provides limited detail, this alignment process may not always be perfect, making it challenging to target the exact area seen on MRI.
ExactVu reduces misalignment by combining MRI images with real-time micro-ultrasound imaging during the biopsy, helping guide the doctor to areas identified on the MRI scan. ExactVu Micro-Ultrasound also provides a second look opportunity to identify suspicious areas possibly missed on MRI and ensure the entire prostate is carefully examined.
